Message from the CEO of DPPC on the Occasion of Journalist’s Day

A message from the CEO of DPPC was published on the occasion of Journalist’s Day.

In Honor of Those Who Hold the Pulse of Public Awareness in Their Hands

Thousands of events unfold, pass, and eventually fade into the vastness of time. Yet, it is the journalist who turns each passing moment into an opportunity to pause, reflect, and understand.

What others merely see, the journalist questions. Amid the noise and complexity of events, they bring to light what deserves to be seen, understood, and remembered.

Journalism is a delicate yet profound responsibility—the responsibility of transforming an event into a story that creates meaning; of seeing what remains hidden at first glance, and hearing what is lost in the crowd of voices.

In the field of healthcare, this responsibility becomes even greater. Behind every statistic may lie a human life, and behind every piece of information, there may be hope—hope that must never be carelessly altered or compromised.

A healthcare journalist is someone who must safeguard the distance between being informed and being responsible for the information we share; someone who, before sending a word into the world, considers how that word may affect the well-being of an entire society.

To all those who, before telling a story, first pause to consider what should be said and how it should be said—we salute you.

We sincerely extend our warmest congratulations on Journalist’s Day to all distinguished members of the media community, especially the dedicated and honorable journalists working in healthcare and medical fields.

May what you write become a light that helps us see a brighter world.

With respect,

Saeid Hejjari
