The meeting opened with a video highlighting the performance of DPPC’s HSE, firefighting, and Emergency Response Group (ERP) teams during the 40-day war. The footage portrayed some of the challenging and hazardous conditions faced during those days, as well as the responsible and committed presence of safety and firefighting personnel in difficult circumstances.

Emphasizing the Safety-Sensitive Nature of DPPC’s Operations

During the meeting, the CEO expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the HSE and firefighting teams and identified safety as one of the company’s key priorities. Referring to the nature of DPPC’s operations, he noted that the industry is inherently high-risk, making heightened attention, vigilance, and a strong sense of responsibility among HSE and firefighting personnel essential.

Addressing the safety teams, he stressed: “Wherever safety principles and requirements are not being observed, stop the work. No activity should take precedence over the safety of our employees.”

Part of Mr. Hojari’s remarks also focused on contractors working on the company’s premises. He noted that contractors may not always have sufficient familiarity with the specific hazards and sensitivities of DPPC’s working environment, emphasizing the need for appropriate training, continuous supervision, and strict compliance with all safety procedures and requirements.

“Safety First, Then Work”: More Than Just a Slogan
