Saeid Hojjari, CEO of Darou Pakhsh Pharmaceutical Chemical Company (DPPC), and two members of the Company’s Board of Directors attended the 980th Shab-e Bukhara cultural event, held on October 12, 2026, to mark the unveiling of Production in the Fire, a 60-part documentary series highlighting industrial resilience and the continuity of production during the 40-day war.
The 980th Shab-e Bukhara event was held at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, bringing together cultural and artistic figures, industry professionals, and managers and deputy managers from the Social Security Investment Company (SHASTA). The event focused on the unveiling of Production in the Fire and revisiting accounts of perseverance, commitment, and responsibility demonstrated by industrial and production workers during wartime.
DPPC was represented at the event by its CEO, Saeed Hojari, and two members of its Board of Directors, reflecting the Company’s engagement with broader efforts to document and highlight the experiences of Iran’s industrial sector under wartime conditions.
Production in the Fire: Stories of Those Who Kept Life Moving Forward
A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of Production in the Fire, a 60-part documentary series documenting the experiences of workers, employees, and professionals across industrial and manufacturing facilities during the 40-day war. The series captures stories of dedication, sacrifice, and responsibility in exceptionally challenging circumstances.
Speakers emphasized the vital role of production during wartime and the importance of documenting and communicating the experiences of the industrial sector. They highlighted the efforts of those who continued to fulfill their responsibilities under crisis conditions, helping preserve infrastructure, sustain industrial operations, and meet society’s essential needs.
The event also featured excerpts from a documentary on the 40-day war, while patriotic music underscored the themes of national solidarity, resilience, and perseverance.
Sustaining Production and Shaping the Narrative of Industry
A central theme of the event was the importance of documenting and sharing the industrial sector’s wartime experiences. Beyond recording damage and disruption, such accounts bring attention to the people, decisions, and sustained efforts that helped maintain production and essential services under difficult conditions.
Documenting the experiences of industrial organizations also provides an opportunity to preserve an important part of contemporary Iranian history and pass valuable lessons in crisis response and resilience on to future generations.
For the pharmaceutical industry, these experiences are closely linked to its responsibility to secure pharmaceutical raw materials and support the continuity of the medicine supply chain—an essential responsibility that becomes even more critical during times of crisis.
Honoring the Families of Industrial Heroes
Another significant part of the ceremony was the recognition of the families of wounded veterans and those who lost their lives while serving in the production and industrial sectors during the war. Their experiences and sacrifices form an important part of the human story behind industrial resilience in times of crisis.
With its focus on Production in the Fire, Shab-e Bukhara once again highlighted a fundamental truth: the history of industry is not merely the history of factories and equipment. It is also the story of the people who, even under the most difficult circumstances, continued their work to sustain production and keep the wheels of life turning.
